Photographing Humantay Lake In The Peruvian Andes

Humantay Lake in the Peruvian Andes provides the perfect opportunity to capture some reflective photography.

On the first day of a five-day trek through the Andes Mountains to Machu Picchu, Adventure Tribune crew members stopped to capture some photos of the sunset reflections along Humantay Lake. The lake, which sits at nearly 14,000 feet above sea level, reflected the 20,000-foot Humantay Mountain above it, along with its frozen blue glaciers.

The five-day trek took the crew through these mountains the following day, but the views of the lake and the panoramic mountains that surrounded it proved to be the best photography spots throughout the entire trek.
