When Will Colorado Ski Areas Open?

When will the Rocky Mountains accumulate enough snow to open for the ski season?


Each year, Colorado’s Rocky Mountain ski areas open on different dates based on the accumulated snowfall for the early season.

Many Coloradans and out-of-state adventurers purchase ski passes to multiple ski areas or to their favorite ski resort in order to maximize their winter adventure opportunities and finances.

So, when can you start using your ski pass? Here are the projected dates for some of Colorado’s most popular ski areas.
